People come to counselling for many reasons and counsellors recognise that each person has their own unique individual experiences and circumstances.
Counselling takes place in a confidential setting where you can
feel safe to share and explore your feelings and thoughts and to
work through your difficulties without being judged. You will be
listened to, treated with respect and what you have to say will remain
confidential, be heard and valued. It can be a time for making changes,
getting support during major life events, dealing with making decisions,
or coping with loss or grief. You can work on your own personal development
or simply be able to speak your worries or feelings aloud to someone
distanced from your day to day life.
Your counsellor can help you to find your own strengths and inner resources to support you in working towards your goals, and finding more effective ways to manage your individual situation. Counsellors are aware that taking that initial step to go to counselling, can be difficult, and emotional, so please be assured that your enquiry will be dealt with confidentially and sensitively.
At Meridian there are a mixture of independent counsellors and therapists, offering varied ways of working with you as an individual, with partners/couples and children.

If you would like more information and to make an individual or couples counselling appointment please
